Writings in this anthology are winning entries in the 2016 Write To Win Contest for Oklahoma Students and Teachers, sponsored by the Oklahoma Writing Project. Students and teachers from across the state are encouraged to enter their writings in the annual competition. Judges select the top 10 percent from each category as winners. This year there were almost 500 entries from 73 teachers. The anthology was printed at no cost to the citizens of Oklahoma. This annual contest is open to Oklahoma teachers of all grade levels and subject areas. OWPs goal is to have a thousand entries from a hundred teachers in the 2017 contest.
